Primary Data for Reservations

ResNexus is the primary third party we utilize to take reservations and they are a popular company in the business of property management and reservations ResNexus receives data including credit card #, name, mailing address, telephone number and reservation data as needed and only if and when you decide to provide it. ResNexus is responsible for protecting this data and complies with all legal requirements for doing so. ResNexus provides a full PCI Compliance Statement for their handling of your data in a secure manner. ResNexus provides a straightforward GDPR compliance policy for European Users, and a Privacy Policy to discuss how they use your data when you make your final reservation at their site.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it so that we can provide a profile picture for you as the author. You can review Gravatar’s privacy policy. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment – if you have one.

Media

We do not currently allow any direct upload of media to our website so there is no media data to store.

Contact forms

If you contact us via contact form our website sends a secure email message to our email address. We keep or delete your emails with us in accordance with our need to communicate with you for business purposes. We use Gmail for some operations and so your messages may be stored according to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to us saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. You can clear your own cookies to remove connecting information  to our site. We use server cookies and third party cookies as are needed in the course of running the website.

Embedded content from other websites

Currently there is only a few Youtube videos such as on our front page and you can review Youtube’s privacy policy. There is currently no embedded content  besides Youtube video. (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. Such websites may include Youtube.com

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and it sets cookies and you accept the use of these cookies by using our website. We use Google Analytics to help us understand our audience to serve you better. You can review Google Analytics’ data collection and manage it here.

We retain Google Analytics data at our analytics account that is useful to track our marketing and response. We use it to watch trends in our traffic and reservations, see what locations people visit from, how long they stay and the like.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
